Our Magento Cybertill integration is designed to synchronise stock in almost realtime between your Cybertill EPOS system and your Magento website via Cybertill's SOAP Services. The aim is that Magento pulls stock levels from Cybertill so that you don’t sell products you don't have, and then sends any orders from Magento to Cybertill so that those purchases are removed from your inventory.
How it Works
- You add products to Magento and Cybertill separately, but make sure that the product SKU in Magento matches the itemRef in Cybertill. This is what is used to link the two products
- Every time a customer visits a product page on your website, Magento fires off a request to Cybertill to get the stock levels...if the product isn’t in stock, this will be displayed on your site (in reality we cache results to a local file to improve performance and efficiency, but for the sake of simplicity, let’s just say stock levels are checked on the product page)
- Every order placed on your website is sent to your Cybertill system via a SOAP call, and the stock levels are updated accordingly
The system is built to run on extremely busy websites (15,000+ SKU’s) and has a number of fallback features designed to ensure that even if the Cybertill API was to go offline, your website would still be in business.
Pricing and Availability
If you have an existing Magento installation and would like us to integrate it with your Cybertill EPOS system, we can do this on an annual license basis at a cost of £800 (includes support) with an initial setup of £1000. If you have a Cybertill EPOS system and would like to have an integrated Magento solution built, we can build this functionality into your website from the start for a small one-off cost.
